“Carolyn and I have been searching for a boatbuilder for some considerable time as we are going to live aboard our 'dream'. We had seen several Aqualine craft at various shows and were initially impressed by the presentation and specification of the boats and the professionalism and friendly approach of the staff. We decided to take up their offer of a visit to the factory at Gdansk. What an experience! From the moment we met our travelling companions early one morning at Luton Airport, to our return three days later, nothing was too much trouble. All questions were answered, no matter how daft, complex or trivial, accommodation, meals and entertainment were first class. The factory was a revelation. I had long ceased to believe that craftsmanship and pride in work of the standard we saw was possible. I was so impressed with the level of quality control, nothing but the best throughout the whole process, from steelwork to fit-out to paint, excellent. A huge thank you to the staff in the design office who not only put up with our interruption to their work but actually seemed to enjoy solving our problems and queries, and especially to Kas for teaching us some Polish swear words. Finally Gdansk itself was an eyeopener, a lovely city, full of stunning buildings and friendly people. We will be going back for a holiday. Thank you Sam and Aqualine. Can't wait till our boat arrives.
Best wishes.”

“After deciding to retire and buy a boat to live on, we had to make many decisions. We viewed numerous boats, but it was Aqualine who fulfilled our dream. From first viewing to handover, including a trip to Gdansk was without any drama. Two years (and 1316 engine hours) later we have a good looking, reliable narrow boat at an affordable price, and enjoy a trouble free cruising lifestyle.”

“We had, for years, nursed a dream of, one day, owning our own narrowboat, having enjoyed times afloat on hire boats and our own little fibreglass day boat. Circumstances at last allowed us to make the giant leap and we began surfing the Internet in order to realise our dream. After a few unproductive visits to marinas and private dealers we thought we had found the boat for us... until we visited Blisworth Marina and saw the William Charles. We both immediately knew that this WAS the one for us. It was love at first sight, only reinforced by stepping aboard. He was perfect for us. Nick, from New and Used Boat Co, welcomed us warmly into their comfortable offices and gave us an informed tour of boats we were interested in, leaving us alone to our private deliberations aboard the William Charles when we declared this was the one we were most interested in. There was no pressure. A deal was done most amicably and, after some more time aboard on our own, we left for home, confident that New and Used would comply with our instructions to make her ready for the handover a couple of weeks later. After an exellent independent survey report, William Charles was delivered to us with a brand new Boat Safety Certificate (a weight off our minds for the next four years). Despite being novices our three-day journey back to Yarwell Mill on the River Nene was splendid, the William Charles living up to our expectations. We now live, breathe, talk and even dream narrowboats, and work is a major inconvenience which just gets in the way of the weekends and holidays when we plan leisurely and peaceful times aboard the William Charles. I never expected making such a major purchase would run so smoothly, but it did.”

“The Aqualine is everything we had hoped for and more. The quality of the workmanship and materials has produced a ‘Wow factor’ from everyone who has been on board. The after sales service that the New Boat Co. has given, their caring approach, their advice and support has all been excellent.”
Helen and David Osborn, Reading
“We did a lot of research and checking out the alternatives before deciding on an Aqualine boat – about eighteen months worth! And quite frankly, there was just no comparison. Over time, we’ve actually found the quality of the end product has exceeded our expectations. It really is superb in every way, and the whole service surrounding the boat is excellent too. Delivery and lead times were accurate almost to the day, and the back-up and support has been second to none. ”
Philip and Stephanie Nycz, Leicester
“Any worries we might have had about purchasing a narrow boat was instantly dispelled by the friendly and totally professional attitude of everybody we dealt with. All our questions were answered, not just about the boat itself, but also the stuff we knew nothing about, like mooring rights, running costs and licensing issues”
Will and Lisa Hollyhead, Avon
“When we first looked on board an Aqualine Manhattan we were smitten, and since delivery of our own boat in July 2005 we have spent many hours aboard and cannot find fault. We are now seriously considering buying a wide-beam boat to live on, and would not go anywhere other than The New Boat Co, and the Aqualine Canterbury.“
Howard and Barbara Sutton, Gloucester
“When I decided to sell my boat I had no hesitation in arranging the brokerage with The New & Used Boat Co as I knew that they would provide a fast, efficient and professional service. This indeed proved to be the right choice as they actually sold my boat before it had been advertised. I have no hesitation in recommending other sellers to do the same as myself.”
Mr Doull
“I visited the Gdansk factory yesterday and was afforded a most cordial welcome by Jon Corker and Kaz. My timing was perfect to allow me to see our boat just prior to it receiving the final gloss paint in the spray shop. Then two hours later we were able to inspect the finished job. Jon showed me the whole manufacturing operation and I had the chance to meet some of the workers. Overall, a very worthwhile and reassuring experience which I much appreciated.”
John Tomsett, who bought an Aqualine boat
“Just a quick note to thank you for your arrangements for our trip to Poland.
It did indeed exceed our expectations and we were delighted with all aspects of the trip. The factory and the boat were very impressive…The entertainment in the hotels and the restaurants was second to none and we had no idea that Gdansk was so attractive.”
Hamish & Diana Stewart, having viewed the Dutch Barge in build.

“I have had my Aqualine Madison for one year now and I chose the The New & Used Boat Co after looking at various companies, and the prices of new and second-hand boats.
I was looking forward to the delivery of the boat and I certainly haven’t been disappointed with it. From the day of arrival I was over the moon with the end result. It fulfils all of its promises and the quality and workmanship is second to none.
A couple of minor warranty issues were sorted out after a quick phone call and people that have been on the boat have commented on the quality of the boat for the money that I paid for it.
From the onset everyone involved from The New & Used Boat Co have been so helpful, keeping me informed on how the boat was progressing throughout the build. It is also nice to know that a year on and the staff are still there to answer any queries I may have and I am kept informed of any new Health & Safety matters.”
Maurice Steele
“I have lived on my MetroFloat Henley for the past 7 months and I am delighted with my boat - it’s a great life. The New & Used Boat Co in Reading were very helpful when I was choosing the boat and helped me through all the stages. The after sales service is second to none and the knowledgeable staff at Reading are always around to help and give practical advice.”

“We would like to thank the staff at The New and Used Boat Co at Reading for their patience, and helpfulness, and mostly their enthusiasm when we recently purchased the ‘Lord Nelson’ through them. This was our 1st venture of this type and the help received was invaluable to us. Once again many thanks.”
Ted and Mavis Cremin
“Would you please convey my thanks to all of your staff involved in selling my narrow boat Charlotte Rose, particularly Jo Willis who kept me informed throughout from first registering for your brokerage service to the final point of sale.
One is always dubious when putting your pride and joy into other's hands but any fears were definitely unfounded. The brokerage service was first class and I would thoroughly recommend your services to any potential seller or purchaser. Thank you once again to you all for your help.”
