Hanbury Wharf Sales Office

The New & Used Boat Co are pleased to announce that from the 21st May 2012 sales will resume from our Hanbury Wharf office.  This office was very busy in previous years with over 200 boats a year being sold from there, but over the past couple of years it was an administrative and accounts office only.  However many customers, especially those located in the south west area, have told us that they wish we still had a sales office in Worcestershire.  Since the Droitwich Ring has opened up this location now offers some really interesting cruising so it seems like a great time to be back!

From the 21st May we will be open 6 days a week - from 9am to 5pm weekdays and from 10am to 4pm on a Saturday (a Sunday appointment may be available by special arrangement).  We will have a Hanbury Swallowtail available to view with other new boats arriving soon after, and a selection of brokerage boats.  As always, please call to check what is available to view if you want to see a particular boat.

We will also be offering other services such as woodwork, engineering and boat painting at Hanbury Wharf, and have a limited number of moorings currently available.  For all enquiries please ring 01905 794445.

A New Wide Beam Design - The Emperor

We are pleased to announce the launch of a new design of Wide Beam boat from the Hanbury Range - The Emperor.  Our first demonstrator is currently in production and is due to be available to view at Blisworth in the near future, hopefully in time for Easter.  The Emperor will make an ideal home, offering spacious accommodation with some interesting features such as a stove with mantelpiece surround, free-standing dining furniture and several display units in the galley and saloon.  The Emperor is available at an introductory price of £104,950 for a 60ft by 12ft boat.

Dates for the Diary

Our open days are always popular with boat buyers, as they offer a chance for customers to see a large selection of boats at one office, to benefit from a chance to chat to the whole team for advice, to enjoy some light refreshments and take advantage of some special offers or prices on the day.

We have some 2012 dates to put in the diary:

• Saturday 14th April - Blisworth
• Saturday 14th July - Mercia
• Saturday 25th August - Blisworth
• Saturday 6th October - Mercia

We will also be at the Crick Boat Show which this year takes place at the later date of the 2nd to 5th June, to coincide with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.  This will be an exciting show for us, with a large number of boats on display including some brand new designs.  We hope you will be able to make it!

Aqualine Range to be manufactured in the UK

The New & Used Boat Co, who have sold the prestigious Aqualine range of boats since 2003, has today announced that from October 2011 these will be manufactured in the UK.

The New & Used Boat Co have acquired the rights to produce Aqualine boats, and a decision has been made to source most of the boats from the UK due to a number of factors such as increased availability of skilled UK labour, fluctuating exchange rates and to enable more regular production visits for both customers and management alike.

The New & Used Boat Co has chosen Midland Canal Centre Ltd, a company with a long and distinguished history building bespoke and production craft, to build the Aqualine boats under license in the UK.  Chris explained “we felt that MCC would deliver to Aqualine owners the level of quality they expect, due to their skill levels and experience, and a change in factory location will also make it easier for customers to visit their boats during production.”

The Aqualine Voyager Dutch Barge will continue to be manufactured in Gdansk, Poland, where the factory and will now concentrate on these more specialised vessels.
